Pay-What-You-Can Accessible Yoga Livestream Class w/ Stacey Vespaziani
A note from Stacey about the class:
I recently completed my Accessible Yoga teacher training and am so excited to offer this Pay-What-You-Can Accessible Yoga Livestream Class through the SHPY/BFY Online studio. We will meet on Saturdays from 10-11a.m.(EST). You can plan to take all sessions or just drop-in as you’d like.
Accessible Yoga is open to all abilities and experience levels. If you and/or a loved one is recovering from an illness or injury, living with a chronic condition, looking for a gentle approach to yoga and/or have been wanting to try (or get back into) a yoga practice but don’t know where or how to start (or continue) this offering was designed for you.
Using the tools I learned from the Accessible Yoga Teacher Training, I will offer a space where you can practice seated in a chair for the whole class or practice some of the poses seated in a chair and some of the poses standing/sitting/laying on a yoga mat. The hour-long classes will consist of: Centering, Warm-Up Movements, Asana (yoga poses), Relaxation, Meditation and Pranayama (breath work).
I will be offering this class on a Pay-What-You-Can basis. You can register and join the class for free and– if you are able and willing– you can leave a Pay-What-You-Can class donation. (Donation link can be found on the top of our Online Studio homepage.
My husband, Brian Vespaziani– who is a person with Multiple Sclerosis and a yoga practitioner– will be joining us on camera for these sessions. He will be demonstrating the practice done from a chair and I will lead the class and demonstrate the practice done from both a chair and on a mat.
Suggestions Of Props To Have For Practice:
A chair (a folding chair without arms is best but any chair will do)
A yoga mat
A beach towel or blanket
A yoga block or thick book
A bolster or pillow
A yoga strap or belt
